Enko could be described as independent, headstrong and manipulative young woman with a corrupted view of her own identity. She considers herself a deity who has taken on a mortal body and makes demands to be treated as such. There are only a few people she considers worthy of her respect, such as high ranked members in the clubs, people whose orders she would be likely to follow without questioning their motives. On the other hand, she looks down on those who are of no rank and will expect them to treat her as superior being. Not even the other kamidere among the members of LoveStruck would be considered equals by the divine individual that Enko considers herself to be - in her eyes she is the ultimate alpha god among humans. Nonetheless, she enjoys the company of others and will never purposely cause trouble to her co-workers or customers, unless she has a personal problem with one of them. Enko will almost always agree to join in on social interactions and see who has potential of becoming an actual friend of hers.

Aside from an absolutely flawless representation of her dere (at least in her eyes, since she was born into that role) she is always working towards new experiences and opportunities to make her own life a festival of entertainment. Thrills could be achieved with almost anything, yet in many cases she will unknowingly step over boundaries and do something to receive a scolding or punishment for. Due to her lack of sense for boundaries, she additionally feels no shame when taking things that belong to others (They should be happy a god wants their belongings after all) and will often be suspected as a culprit when something goes missing. In such cases, it will take a while to make her return the goods she has taken, but if done by an authority, she does not bother to resist for long.

While it is possible to allure her with offerings, such as extra money, jewelry, fine clothing or other things of great value, she is anything but quick nor easy to please. The possibility of displeasing her with a gift is higher than one would expect, and if that happens she will not forget it without a lot of material compensation. More sympathy points can be achieved by sharing one of her interests, such as literature, or simply paying a lot of attention to her as a person - going for both, hosts and customers.

One could say that Enko appears to be without any care in the world, whereas she actually focuses a lot on the solving of mysterious occurrences and unpleasant problems in her personal life and working field. Her largely unsophisticated, yet dominant nature does hardly give away the intelligence hidden in the depth of her core. Gathering and giving out information is a side of her that reoccurs as naturally as sleeping and breathing. While she is known to promise her customers the granting of blessings, there is no guarantee that she will work in their favor, and might even take the information she came to gather through their wish against them if necessary. On the other hand, she stays dedicated to a goal if it has caught her interest and will count every achievement to an unwritten account of blessings done to humanity. To assure that no customer is lost through the nonperformance of a request, she relies a lot on others to do the dirty work for her, some of them being customers themselves, and some of them members of LoveStruck and the other clubs.

[ Brief Summary ] Born to parents after two miscarriages, developed to be a spoiled child that knew no boundaries, was sent to boarding school, dropped out when she began earning money through several sources, was part of a gang, ran short of money so decided to seek a job, heard of the three clubs opening from acquaintances, decided to join LoveStruck, has been a member for about 2 years


[ Detailed Summary ] It all began when the parents of the unborn Enko, who lived in a small town near Kabukicho, tried to gift themselves with offspring. Before long, the mother found herself pregnant, but as the months passed, her abdomen started to ache. Upon immediately being brought to the hospital, it was discovered that she had had a miscarriage and had low chances of successful fertility. Naturally depressed from this shocking turn of events, Enko's parents paused their wish for children, only to try it again about two years later. After the second miscarriage, all hope for offspring seemed to vanish and the two of them stopped bothering to try having a child. However, due to a careless night together, another pregnancy occurred, which resulted in the one healthy child the family would ever have. However, Enko was no easy child to deal with. Throwing tantrums and breaking her parents' rules was something she did on a daily basis. No punishments seemed to correct that behavior, and her parents knew that they could not do more than telling her to behave, lock her into her room for the day, or rob her of favorite toys or the privileges of certain activities. Due to them losing two babies before, they spoiled her more often than it was reasonable to do, and physical harm was out of questions for the two well-mannered adults. By the time Enko was to enter pre-school, the situation worsened, as the parents of her classmates repeatedly called Enko's parents to complain about her treating the other kids badly.

Not much changed after entering elementary school. Enko seemed to develop some kind of arrogance and began to consider herself better than anyone else. As years went on like this, there came a breaking point for the parents of the young child. Following a long discussion, they decided to send their daughter into a boarding school, which especially focused on young women with obedience issues. Enko did not have much trouble settling in, and even managed to learn some manners, but nothing could change her nature. Not many of her school mates liked her because of that, so she took on the hobby of reading to pass her time. It was then that Enko found a fascination with folklore and other stories about mythical beings, and as one thing led to another, she came to the strange conclusion that she as well must be a Japanese god, who somehow got suck in a mortal body. There was no other explanation to her.

Somewhere down the road, Enko happened to earn money by selling her own literature, mainly over an online blog that caught the attention of other authors and journalists. Having made a name for herself in society, she dropped out of school, following the impression that they were no longer worth of her presence. Naturally, the money she received from such people was not enough to make a living, but with the help of her acquaintances she managed to survive a few more years without working and eventually got the opportunity to move into a shared apartment at Kabukicho.

Enko was interested in the night life more than finding something to earn money with, and so she happened to befriend members of a small gang who would hang out in the streets almost every night. Perhaps it was not the right environment for a young adult like her, but she believed these people to be worthy peasants if they could protect her from trouble and provide her with the things she needed. The leader of the gang soon found a liking to her, but knowing that she would waste her youth if she stayed for too long, he asked her to search for a job to support herself if she found the chance to do so. Enko knew that this meant their boss cared about her well-being, but it also displeased her, as it meant that she would have to work herself instead of letting others do it for her.

Then, she began to hear rumors; about a popular club closing down a while ago and about three new ones opening their gates, each of them with exclusive themes that attracted a lot of attention. A lot of attention? Now, that sounded like the right solution for her working problem. About time, in her eyes. How did the heavens dare to let her wait so long on the perfect opportunity for an occupation in the first place? It was not easy saying goodbye to the gang life, but she had promised to find something better for herself. Upon gathering more information about the concerned clubs, Enko found that LoveStruck had the right occupation for her; A kamidere hostess. She was familiar with that term, and although she was not 100% okay with some things that came with the definition in question, she forced herself to ignore such a small flaw in her plan.

And how right she was about this place. With roughly two years of service, LoveStruck became her main source of income, as well as form as entertainment. Enko does no longer have any doubts about this place being the right one for her, and she does not show any sign for retiring in the future.

(*) Although she personally goes by female pronouns, she expects others to use neutral pronouns (They/Them/Their) as a form as respect. She is convinced that others may not see her as a human woman and that she, as a deity, stands above gender, despite being born into a female 'vessel'. Only those close to her may address her by female pronouns, as in this case she will consider the 'vessel' to play an important role for the relationship. Ultimately, she prefers to simply be referred to as 'Kami' if spoken directly to. If a stranger dares to disrespect her by only taking her 'vessel' into consideration, she will unkindly remind them of their lack of respect.

✦ Being locked into rooms is something she absolutely cannot stand and she will absolutely lose herself if it happens to her.

✦ Doesn't like to wear 'casual wear' and mostly owns fancy dresses. She also orders specialized mixes of modern dresses and traditional kimonos to fit better into the appearance of a Japanese god.
